After winning the Debate on Wednesday, even after all the Democratic plants that were in the audience in the CNN You Tube Debate (CNN of course being owned by moonbat Ted Turner), it's time for some highlights. Huck crushed the field. Rudy and Romney were too busy attacking each other to come across as statesmen like, delivering their worst performances of the campaign season. Fred looked a bit out of it and was less than inspiring. McCain and Hunter did solid jobs. Hunter actually makes a lot of solid points but is given so little time that he can not state his solid credentials for the front office, but quietly may be making a case to be a VP consideration. Tancredo was his usual entertaining self, but he may even admit that he won't win the nomination, but if he can keep hammering home just how important the issue of illegal immigration is, from the economic issues to national security, then he should stay in the race to the very end, as this is very much needed. In fact, his rant about Americans not wanting to take jobs because "they are beneath them" is something that needs to be repeated. Indeed, should illegals be taken out of the equation and suddenly the demand for workers exceeds supplies, it is American citizens who win out as wages would have to rise in order to find equilibrium, so all those "low paying jobs no one wants" is a crap argument due to an artificial supply of cheap and illegal labor. A lower supply of labor will lead to higher wages and benefits for American works as companies are forced to abide by employment laws, something that benefits our citizens. However, it was clear to anyone watching that Huck won the debate. Here's some links to read through on how clear his victory was:

I'd be remiss not to have some post debate interviews up here as well, enjoy:

Americans Following Liberal Congress Just Enough to Know How Bad it Sucks
1. It turns out that surprise, surprise, surprise (Gomer Pyle style) that most Americans do not know what is going on politically and find it difficult to keep up with politics in America. Not surprising since I posted earlier on definitive proof of left wing bias and a small percentage of people who actually trust the media anymore. Sadly, they will all vote regardless of what they know, hence the Democrats prey on this as they say things in talking points where as Republicans go into the issue which takes a bit of attention and a means to reach the audience. The media chops it up makes the Republicans look like something we are not and take pride in this. So Americans are less politically astute then they should be.
2. Congressional approval ratings are at all time lows, again. 18% of our citizens approve of Mega Liberal Nancy "Blinky" Pelosi's congress. Yes, they have been halved in just 8 months since the Liberals took over. It took them all of 8 months to become the least effective, least productive congress ever. That's shocking. I figured it would take them at least 1 year.
Math time: 1 + 2 = Most Americans do not know what is going on politically but they know that it has gotten tremendously worse since the Liberals took charge, indicating a strong position of having buyer's remorse. The Dems ran as centrists and are diddling their time in leadership by doing nothing but investigating President Bush which has resulted in? Absolutely nothing. The public also seems to be keenly aware that things are getting better in Iraq, so much so that Democrats themselves acknowledge this and have since changed the goal posts and painting the successful General Patraeus as a tool of the President. This will go over well with the public. All this in the face of extreme media bias and vitriol from the left so hardcore that a scorpions venom can be viewed as an antibiotic. Now based on the last time the Congress hit rock bottom like this the Democrats got ousted, and seeing as how they are not even pretending to be centrist, no amount of spin will be able to get them out of hard left land in the public eye. The Republicans on the other hand are actually in a very strong strategic position to oust a do nothing ultra liberal Congress and/or the Presidential elections in one fell swoop. A Giuliani-Huckabee nomination will crush almost of the old rhetoric the hard left uses on the Republicans and the GOP comes off looking pretty centrist with a pro-gay right, pro-abortion nominee at the head of the ticket and a small government former minister who is focused on restructuring the homeland and helping the average man and woman in the nation since he has been there himself and still conducts himself in the average person's mold. A centrist Republican ticket on the races in 2008? Possible, and if it happens, I think we realistically have a great shot at getting back both the Presidency and the Congress.

And Now...More Huckabee
Great articles have been popping up so often that I have not been able to keep up, but its accurate to say that the news on Huckabee is growing....and it's spectacular. Yes, the lack of money is going to severely limit the campaign, and ultimately it will probably be Rudy Giuliani who walks away with the nomination if nothing changes, but something can change. What we are trying to do as a grassroots campaign is not to be supremely negative as the Democrats are (they even hate their own) but to battle on the campaign front in terms of idea, message, and the spread of hope. Huckabee is excelling on all of these things. The longer he is effective on his shoe string budget, as the campaign progressives, it will be that much more effective when the money does start to come. In the meantime, we are practically salivating at the amazing performance the Governor is going to turn in at the You Tube debate, and it will not be lost on anyone that Governor Huckabee led the charge to go into the hornets nest and tackle the hard left in their own den. With that kind of confidence and courage, how can you not be excited. For more reading pleasure check out these articles:

Huckabee Getting Stronger and Stronger
That's right, fresh off his strong showing in Iowa, coming in at a very impressive 18% on a shoe string budget, Huckabee is gaining more and more momentum. A grassroots campaign by a true conservative who is very mainstream on many issues facing America today, the word is spreading and so is his support. For the first time in an extremely long time we have a campaign not being financed completely by uber-rich folks and corporations and America is standing up and taking notice. Gov. Huckabee is what we've been looking for and he is getting a great deal more notice. Take for instance this great piece written by Michael Medved over at Townhall.com, who is admittedly a much more refined writter than I, and he strongly advocates Gov. Huckabee's qualities. It is a MUST READ. Meanwhile Rich Lowry at National Review states that Sen. Brownback's best play at this point is to drop out of the race as he really has no shot (while noting his distinguished record as a Senator). This of course, will boost Gov. Huckabee even higher in the polls as Sen. Brownback's supporters will almost certainly shift support to Gov. Huckabee. The ever charismatic Huckabee showed gamesmanship and political savvy in dealing with the great news out of Iowa as evidenced in an article at the Washington Post. In the meantime here are two video clips to consider. The first highlights his candid and honest nature on the 2006 elections while speaking 100% truth on immigration from an early debate this year, the second is his appearance on ultra-liberal CBS and performing like a champ. CONGRATULATIONS MIKE!!!!
