Huckabee's Momentum Undeniable

One of the most rewarding things of this campaign season is seeing the grassroots campaign that we are involved with gaining so much steam, with so little money. It's amazing to see that in this day and age in America, where money has taken an ever increasing role over God in many people's lives, and most especially so in the political arena, that a message can resonate so strongly with the American people. When the campaign started, we were treated with an onslaught of pundits telling us that our candidate, Mike Huckabee, could not win for no other reason than they said he could not. We were then told with little organization in many of the states outside of Iowa that the Straw Poll results, while surprising to them, would not much more than to keep him in the race for a few more weeks. Those of us involved in the process, those who have followed the campaign season from start knew simply this, given the stage, the opportunity, to share his message, Gov. Huckabee's message would resonate strongly with the people. I, from here in Pennsylvania, found it refreshing to hear so much optimism emanate from Gov. Huckabee beginning with the first debate. In every campaign there are some tactics which we all disagree, but Gov. Huckabee has remained above the fray. Indeed, all of our candidates are strong, and if any one of them were to gain the nomination, except for one, I would openly support them. However, in America we are given the choice, thankfully, which was given birth by the brave men and women in uniform, those who sacrificed everything they had in order to provide a better life for people like me, including my father. If nothing else, the men and women of our armed services deserve our accolades, our praise, and our undying respect and gratitude.

The efforts of our collective grass root effort to promote awareness of the message has been incredible. The American people are responding to message of hope, of optimism, of values, and of strength. Today, the USA Today's Gallup Poll shows Gov. Huckabee in second place among the GOP field, on a microcosm of the budget of the other candidates, proof of the campaign's message holding greater strength than that of the dollar value of advertisements and muck-racking. Indeed, as Gov. Huckabee's positive vision for the future of America gains steam, the opponents of Mike Huckabee have increased their criticisms of his record. While criticisms of a political candidates record are a part of the process in American politics, Mike Huckabee answers all of these criticisms with facts and with his honest views regardless of the political correctness follies and fallout that may occur, walking the walk on intestinal fortitude and moral strength.

Columnists and pundits even praise Mike Huckabee's style and fear his vision, notably, ultra liberal blogger Markos Moulitsas
. Another indication of the awareness that the grassroots campaign has sparked through simply the message and the truth, is the attention we get from other conservatives who support other candidates. Dean Barnett has a nice article on Gov. Huckabee in the Weekly Standard, exercising his right to raise questions in a very solid article, while being fair to the campaign, something we supporters welcome. Cordial debate is always healthy in a democracy.

Keep in mind that we are surging in all of the early primary states. I do encourage you to help out the campaign in anyway you can. Personally, blogging and word of mouth are my biggest contributions. I urge you to keep up the outstanding work you have all done, to not be negative towards what is a great field, in fact, probably the most difficult field to choose from in a very long time. This campaign will be won on positive messages, ideas, and optimism. It is a battle we are winning and should continue to fight.

Mike Huckabee Victory Highlights from the CNN/You Tube Debate

After winning the Debate on Wednesday, even after all the Democratic plants that were in the audience in the CNN You Tube Debate (CNN of course being owned by moonbat Ted Turner), it's time for some highlights. Huck crushed the field. Rudy and Romney were too busy attacking each other to come across as statesmen like, delivering their worst performances of the campaign season. Fred looked a bit out of it and was less than inspiring. McCain and Hunter did solid jobs. Hunter actually makes a lot of solid points but is given so little time that he can not state his solid credentials for the front office, but quietly may be making a case to be a VP consideration. Tancredo was his usual entertaining self, but he may even admit that he won't win the nomination, but if he can keep hammering home just how important the issue of illegal immigration is, from the economic issues to national security, then he should stay in the race to the very end, as this is very much needed. In fact, his rant about Americans not wanting to take jobs because "they are beneath them" is something that needs to be repeated. Indeed, should illegals be taken out of the equation and suddenly the demand for workers exceeds supplies, it is American citizens who win out as wages would have to rise in order to find equilibrium, so all those "low paying jobs no one wants" is a crap argument due to an artificial supply of cheap and illegal labor. A lower supply of labor will lead to higher wages and benefits for American works as companies are forced to abide by employment laws, something that benefits our citizens. However, it was clear to anyone watching that Huck won the debate. Here's some links to read through on how clear his victory was:

Another Solid Huckabee Post

This one from Politico of all places. It's amazing that his biggest drawback is people thinking "he can't win" mainly because he's not overloaded with funds. What sense does that make? Democracy is about ideas and leadership. He IS the best candidate and if elections were won on issues, thoughts, and a proven track record, he'd probably already have the nomination secured right now. Then again, I guess that makes this the best grass roots campaign going. Take a look at the poll trends...on a shoestring budget.

Huckabee Update

Wow, it's been a while since I posted. First, as I'm sure you already know by now, Gov. Huckabee gave another outstanding performance in the last debate, especially this exchange here with Ron Paul, where Huck gives him a little ethics lesson while defending the war:

On the 9th of this month, he gave an interview with Wolf Blitzer, the text of which can be found here. Again, it's what we've come to expect of Gov. Huckabee, a solid interview, where his points come across with direct clarity.

After the President's great speech the other night (probably his best one to date), Gov. Huckabee Release his own statement via his website. The statement can be found here. President Bush and Gov. Huckabee are to be applauded by their defense of this confrontation, as we must stay to defend the Iraqi people and help them to rebuild. It is our responsibility to do so on a moral level as well as it being in our best interests for national defense. This war is about security. The Left does not see it this way, even with comments coming recently from John Murtha hint to their dragging their feet on pushing for what they believe in order to get the votes for more seats. Way to stand on principal Murtha. Perhaps you'll think twice about that when the slander suit from the soldiers at Haditha pushes forward.

Finally, late last week Mike Huckabee took the Party to task, challenging Republican leaders to attract more minorities, union operatives, etc, in order to combat the growing socialist scourge. He is absolutely right. I have never understood how the liberal media has been so effective at convincing the population that Republicans are racist. It is amazing that the Republicans freed the slaves, passed the Civil Rights Act, have had the first black National Security Director and the first two black Secretaries of State and we are denounced as racist. Union leaders have thugged out on their own members, stolen vast amounts of their money since inception after turning hideously corrupt, and force the members to support their own political agendas and we are considered as being abrasive to union members. Unbelievable. We need to counter this media and Liberal onslaught by effectively getting the message out, and utilizing our resources, such as the Internet to do just that. Kudos to Mike Huckabee for dropping the hammer and waking some people up.

Great Job Huck, Let's Keep the Momentum Going!
