USA Today's Pro-Illegal Immigration Stunningly Illustrated In A Single Article

It's laughable that in today's day and age, with the information that we have available at our fingertips, to both research reports as well as verify the validity of statements, that the MSM stubbornly keeps referring to themselves as "unbiased". The only network that really has legitimacy to claim that is Fox News, and yes, that has been verified. Liberals assail Fox for having the audacity to illustrate and report on more than just the vantage point that the Liberal elite has assumed. Today, the USA Today an article appear in their online journal entitled, "Rising Health Care Costs Put Focus on Illegal Immigrants," one of the most bias, pro-illegal immigration pieces I have read in quite some time. Here's some choice dissections for you:

"The phrase 'illegal immigrant' is just radioactive at the moment," says Leighton Ku, a health analyst at the liberal Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. "Efforts to provide additional benefits for the undocumented would be essentially perceived as adding fuel to the fire."

At least here, they are courteous enough to point out the fact that Ku is a liberal. "Illegal Immigrant" is not inflammatory, it's true. They are immigrants. They are illegally in this nation under our immigration policy and have thus broken the laws, hence they are illegal immigrants. Undocumented is inflammatory. It is a term designed to strip away the fact that these people are criminals, in violation of federal laws, and have shown an utter disrespect to legal immigrants as well as the American system in whole. You should also note that on the left hand side only 9% of American citizens are uninsured, which puts the number of uninsured American citizens in the range of about 27 million people, most of whom are getting government benefits to cover their insurance. A large number to be sure, but read the article to get an idea of how much of money illegal immigrants are syphoning from our taxes, contributing a gigantic amount to our deficit spending. Take special note of this gem:

Illegal immigrants can get emergency care through Medicaid, the federal-state program for the poor and people with disabilities.

Medicaid should be only for citizens of this nation and people who are here through legal means and following our laws. Illegal immigrants need to be deported and our laws need to be enforced. Pro-illegals are simply in a position where they don't care about federal laws and they are stating as much. I feel the same way about people who smoke marijuana and are SHOCKED when they get busted for it and the laws are enforced. There's always people who make excuses and give a sob story about their situation, but if you broke a law, you broke a law, you can't cry to anyone when you get nailed for it when you knew what you were doing was illegal.

Because most illegal immigrants are relatively young and healthy, they generally don't need as much health care treatment as U.S. citizens, studies show. But while they account for less than 2% of national medical spending, their growing presence is a problem in places such as eastern North Carolina, one of the nation's poorest areas.

So we're to expect that these un-named studies have been able to effectively reach out to illegal immigrants and test them for their health, and somehow that didn't cost anyone anything? There's lies a plenty in that statement, an absurd amount of garbage actually. Also notice, they point out the SPENDING, NOT THE COST. They are ducking their bills. Think about it, when you go to the hospital, the only way to really track you down is with your Social Security Number, if you don't have that or a valid (I mean OFFICIAL) government/state issued ID, how would they track you down? So sure, they are accounting for 2% of spending, the idea here is cost, and if the costs are way up and the hospitals are taking a loss, they have to make up for it somewhere, and costs to legal recipients of health insurance goes up.

The whole article is inflammatory and completely dishonest. They give some lip service to the positions that we who are right, and happen to be on the right, hold, but by and large, it is such a puff piece and pro-illegal immigrant article that it beyond blatant. However, I will leave you with this, and I'm sure you'll have the same reaction as I did.....:

MD, NJ, NY Governors Prove What Kind of Respect Democrats Hate for the Constitution

It's getting downright scary if you actually believe in the Constitution. The Democrats all-out onslaught on all things American is painfully obvious and they simply don't care. With the media in their back pocket running around slandering the Republicans, they are getting all the cover they need to punch holes in the fabric of American society. First, please familiarize with the spying and the drivers licence programs of which Elliot Spitzer (D-NY) is so fond. The guy is a political thug. Following the beat of Spitzer's drum in the chump Governor of New Jersey, Jon Corzine, who is doing his best to assault the laws and organization of this nation as well as completely abuse the common tax payer.

You'll remember my post about Corzine and the Democratic legislature usurping the power of democracy from the electorate of NJ by abolishing the death penalty while a sizable majority of the people support the death penalty in the state. He follows up that gem by strongly pushing his mind numbing skyrocket toll increases through his moonbat controlled legislature, be sure to take note of this:

The plan would raise tolls on the Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway by up to 50 percent four separate times from 2010 to 2022, for a potential fivefold hike; it also would put a toll on a road that's now free. All that on top of other hikes to adjust for inflation.

The money won't go to the state or to the Turnpike Authority. Instead, Corzine wants a new "public-benefit corporation" that would collect the tolls and run the roads under a decades-long contract with the authority.

Unbelievable. Not only would the tolls on the roads increase 500%, but the money wouldn't go to the STATE or the TURNPIKE AUTHORITY. It would go to a third party administration that would "invest in the state." This is completely asinine, this is why 49% of people NJ don't want to live there anymore. Corzine is trashing the state. Furthermore, Corzine and Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley have taken on an aggressive anti-Constitutional stance by attempting to overturn the Electoral College.

Apparently these guys don't quite understand that the one of the reasons we even have a Constitution is due to the Connecticut Compromise, which gave more say to the smaller states. Additionally, the electoral college continues this extremely important Constitutional provision by allowing small states a say in the election of the POTUS. Corzine and O'Malley have both passed bills meant to serve as a nationwide push to eliminate the electoral college system in their states in order to give all delegates to the national winner, and not the winner of their states' electoral choice for POTUS. It strips all power from the state and puts the small states at the mercy of the larger states. It is an attack on the very essence of our Constitution and Federalism. It's not something that should be overlooked. The Democrats are still mad the Constitution was followed when President Bush defeated Al Gore in 2000 and became engulfed in rage when President Bush defeated John Kerry in 2004. Apparently, they became so angry that they decided to do anything they could to destroy anything that reminded them of their failures, including deriding the constitution. Under a popular election vote, do you think any candidates will ever go to "Middle America", the area that the Liberals hate so much for voting against them in the last two elections? Essentially if you win NYC, LA, Miami, Dallas, Philly, and Detroit, you win the election. There would be little to no "get out to vote" efforts in the mainland and the Federal Government would become even more disconnected from the rural populations. It's exactly what almost prevented the Constitution from coming to fruition in the first place, and apparently something the Democrats care nothing about as they are attempting to run this course again.

Of course O'Malley is now trying to push through his proposal to give illegal immigrants drivers licenses in Maryland, under the guise of being in compliance with the REAL ID coming to fruition. Keep in mind that the state would give legal documentation to illegal immigrants instead of enforcing the law and deporting them as should be the case. Liberals constantly try to paint the GOP as racist, but remember, illegal immigration and legal immigration are not the same thing. You would give benefits and documentation to legal immigrants. Illegal immigrants you document only when you send them back to their country of origin. It is a blatant violation of federal law, law and order, and society in general to reward criminals, which is exactly what the Democrats are attempting to do. By following down this path, the Constitution is further diminished. The madness needs to stop and it needs to stop now.

Support Geno's Cheesesteaks

For more than just the reason that Geno's is way better than Pat's and Jimmy's. Much, much better. It's always worth the drive down to Philly just for the Cheesesteak and some South Street activities. I'm sure you've all heard by now that Joey Vento has exercised his God-given right to refuse service to people who refuse to speak the English language. Naturally he's being sued of course for taking a stand against people who either a) refuse to learn to speak English or b) people who refuse to actually speak English. They are claiming this is discriminatory but that's nonsense. It is inefficient for any business to staff people specifically to cater to the language needs of people who refuse to assimilate. It's also extremely egotistical, self centered, and lazy, not to learn the language of the land that you've already broken the laws entering. So what about Russians, Gaels, Czechs, French, etc, who do not speak effective English...in a city the size of Philadelphia with various ethnic immigrants. It is irresponsible and unbelievably arrogant and selfish to try to force a business owner to incur higher costs and slow down his ordering process in order to satisfy a few people who refuse to do what every one else's ancestors have done. They are attempting to destroy the melting pot and liberal left goes along with this moronic multi-cultural lunacy that is shattering and segregating our culture while disallowing integration and is a total slap in the face to what America has stood for and what the hardworking legal immigrants who have followed all the laws, learned our culture and heritage, have accomplished and stood for, and it needs to stop. So kudos to Mr. Vento and every other business owner who stakes this stand. Personally, if they say get rid of the sign (an asinine if not inevitable decision in moonbat crazy Philly), here's my plan of action. If said customer does not order in English, politely tell them:

I don't speak Spanish.

You can't not hire a person who doesn't know how to speak Spanish. In fact, if they speak English, you should most definitely hire them and refuse to hire bilingual workers. Then, if the customer refuses to order in English, you WON'T be able to help them because you won't know what they want, which will help them accept the melting pot and make things much easier on them and us in the long run. That's not discriminatory, that's how it's been, all our ancestors went through it without as much government assistance, night classes, charities, and relatives available as resources to learn the language.

Morons in PA Legislature About to Tax us For A New Team in Philly That Won't Win a Championship in a Sport Nobody Cares About

Wow, taxes to go towards a stadium is just a bad idea in the first place, but a soccer stadium..$45 million dollars? This has got to be one of the worst sports decisions since the Philadelphia 76ers hired Billy King, who surprise, surprise, was fired today. Get back on track, right, I know. Well insanity is sometimes defined as doing the same things over and expecting different results. First, sending Libtards to any legislature and expecting anything good to come of it falls under that definition. Second, Mr. Philadelphia Ed Rendell, whose primary concern outside of Philadelphia is how he can watch Comcast Sports, was sure to bring home more bacon for the city. Third, it's soccer, folks. You know, the sport that has been around forever and has never been popular in the U.S., ranks behind skiing, boxing, horse racing, curling, etc. How can they possibly imagine this will work when it's already failed before, in the 70s....at the height of the drug era.....stoned hippies everywhere, who are amused by goldfish, clouds, and butterflies...found it so boring that not just the team, but the entire league folded. There is really one target audience that this pork project is catered to..one whose insane growth level in the area could insure Donkeycrats a longer stay in office even if the votes are illegal...Here's a clue:

"Today, as we sit here, we see a really mature, soccer-consuming audience," said Nick Sakiewicz, president of sports promoter AEG New York, who is working to bring a team here. "Back in the '70s and '80s, there was really no soccer-consuming market."

The former pro goalkeeper and two-time Major League Soccer executive of the year, widely credited with securing a new stadium for the New York Red Bulls, sees solid evidence why, this time, soccer can't miss:

Local exhibitions between top international teams, such as the game between Manchester United and FC Barcelona at Lincoln Financial Field in 2003, draw sellout crowds.

The fast-growing immigrant community from Mexico and other Latin American nations provides a solid base of knowledgeable, enthusiastic fans. The Mexican population in Pennsylvania and New Jersey grew 74 percent from 2000 to 2006.

$40 Million Dollars to buy off a large portion of the illegal immigrants in PA and NJ, and no that's not a blanket statement, you know what's happened in Hazleton, and believe me, it's happening in many more communities. Even in Easton, PA where I grew up and outskirts of Palmer arrests are being made and deportations (thankfully) in process for the illegals who have trolled their free loaded asses up here. In the meantime, have fun driving on I-83, I-78, I-80, and I-81, and ask yourself why the roads can never be fixed up and sinkholes not filled. Sure the Dems go on TV and cry about it, but hey, it's a never ending tax cycle. Fund pork projects to secure votes, complain they did not have enough money to actually do the job they were supposed to do with the money, and then justify a tax raise to the dullards who refuse to follow the news. You've got a friend in Pennsylvania indeed.

Charlie Dent Nails A Homer

Kudos to Rep. Charlie Dent, who represents my district here in PA, for introducing a piece of legislature that would end the sanctuary for some illegal immigrants, these being the ones who have committed a felony. Under the proposal, the bill would require that illegals charged with a felony not be released from prison. Albeit a modest proposal, it is a step in right direction and one that has co-sponsorship from at least three Democrats, who are mentioned in the article. It's a start, and a damned sensible one at that.

Political Scandal Alert: Border Security Funds Disappear

This should be all over the news, especially given Seniorita Hillary's recent and righteous beatdown for backing a hugely unpopular and illegal drivers licenses for illegals spawned by Elliott Spitzer. This isn't chump change for border security that the Dems tried to secretly kill, they straight up stripped $3 BILLION DOLLARS from the defense budget that would have gone to secure our borders. It is beyond shocking that they would be so openly defiant about giving the American people the hose job. It is not shocking in a sense they are amnesty loving open border supporters. This is a direct and full on slap to the face of all Americans who value the rule of law. Again, this is not an anti-immigration issue, it is an anti-illegal immigration issue. Those who come in this nation by following our laws are welcome. That is the law and that is how the vast, vast majority of our ancestors came here. However, it is shockingly pathetic that the security at Hersheypark is better than that of our government. Worse yet, the Liberals in charge don't want to fix it. Imagine if someone jumped in front of you in line a grocery store, you'd be up in arms about it, and don't pretend you wouldn't. The illegal immigrants in this nation have spit all our laws and procedures and it effects legal immigrants, those applying for legal immigration status, and mostly those of us tax paying citizens immensely.

Take note of this from the aforementioned article:

Graham’s immigration amendment would fund building 700 miles of fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border, erecting more vehicle barriers at urban crossings and installing additional ground sensors.

The measure also would pay for detention centers for immigrants who overstay their visas or commit other crimes. It would provide money for state and local agencies to be trained in helping the federal government enforce immigration laws.

Graham’s amendment had been added to a comprehensive immigration bill in June in a failed bid to move the broader measure through the Senate.

Aides to Democratic leaders of the Senate and the House failed Tuesday evening to return phone calls seeking comment on Graham’s claims, or said they didn’t know anything about the issues. Graham planned to hold a news conference Wednesday with other senators.

The "Duh, we don't know nothing" line is pure crap and they know it. They are lying through their teeth in order to get a larger chunk of the Hispanic vote in the general election, pure and simply. They started pushing amnesty as soon as they came into office, knowing full well that their game plan is try to capitalize on our president's dedication to fighting for our freedoms in the war on terror while having their puppet masters from Move On, Code Pink, and Daily Kos pull the strings. They double talk on this issue so that when they are called on it, they can correctly state that they voted for this issue, but then lie to say they don't know what happened to funds after they were gutted by their party leaders. The so-called moderate Blue Dogs are silenced by the choke chain that is the hard left moonbats that dominate their party. They will proceed to say that Republicans don't respect Hispanics, which is an out and out lie, because we want to follow the rule of law and protect our citizens. Meanwhile, they still talk about Hugo Chavez and the deceased Fidel Castro like they were heroes, while they painfully slaughter their own citizens. That's who the Dems are and that's how they roll.

A Pop Quiz and More Media Bias

Q: Who tried to book a flight to San Diego first upon hearing of the massive cockfighting ring?

A. Barney Frank
B. Larry Craig

They obviously didn't realize the story was about birds. This is just as deplorable as when Michael Vick was murdering dogs for his own sick and twisted pleasure. What is really interesting here is the media bias in regards to the story. Here is the article about the massive animal cruelty ring in San Diego. Here's the bulk of the article if you're feeling lazy:

After raiding a San Diego district close to the Mexican border, authorities said on Monday they had shut down an extensive illegal cockfighting ring, arresting 50 people and seizing more than 5,000 birds.

The raids, conducted on Saturday, followed a six-month undercover operation, authorities said.

"This is the largest cockfighting ring ever busted up in the United States because of the number of defendants and the number of birds seized," said San Diego County District Attorney's spokesman Paul Levikow.

So where does that bias come into play? Well let's see, no names or descriptions of suspects were mentioned. Remember that Vick and his co-defendants were all outed immediately. Would the MSM, the very left leaning MSM want to skew their article on this blatant and despicable operation in order to protect something that goes against their political agenda? What could they be trying to cover up, that they would support? Where is cockfighting legal? The mainstream media protecting ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS by skewing their story? You betcha.

Maryland Democrats: Tax and Spend, and Grant Amnesty, All the Doo-dah Day

Democratic Governor + Democratic Legislature = Impending Doom on State Residents. First of all, raising taxes by an astounding $7.6 Billion is insane. The article linked in the preceding sentence, The Baltimore Sun lays out some of the details:

O'Malley's plan to tackle Maryland's budget woes would include a restructuring of the state's income tax, which he says would reduce taxes for lower-income families while raising taxes for the wealthy; an increase in the state sales tax from 5 percent to 6 percent; a doubling of the cigarette tax to $2 a pack; and an increase in the car titling tax. He is advocating an increase in the corporate income tax rate from 7 percent to 8 percent.

The governor also has put forward a proposal to legalize slot machine gambling in Maryland that he says would raise $500 million to $600 million annually.

A few problems here. First, as always, the cure-all for Democrats is not to fix corrupt and wayward spending, cut programs, or even increase efficiency, it is to raise taxes. It's to make the citizens pay more for the same failed policies, which they say they will gleefully increase as well. Failing and decayed programs to get more money? It's the Liberal mantra. Raising taxes for the wealthy? Hmmm...they do not actually define what "wealthy" is here, interesting. Additionally, the "wealthy" are the ones who do the largest, by far, amount of investing in the infrastructure of the state and corporations that operate within it. By choking off the investment revenues, they are guaranteeing themselves further problems. Another policy they should really feel ashamed about is the cigarette tax increase. This will fail as well. First off, the increased cigarette prices will lead to lower consumption and restrict new smokers from entering the market, which in itself is not bad. It is bad, however, when you are expecting the demand to remain flat and therefore will result in a decline in actual tax revenue. Conversely, if they honestly expect revenues to increase and demand to remain flat, then is there any way they are any different, then say, a drug dealer? After all, cigarette smoking is an addiction and to take economic profit due to addiction is something a drug dealer does. This is essentially the argument that was made about the tobacco industry in the famous court cases. How long then, before that same argument is made against state and federal governments? After all, they are doing precisely the same thing.

Another issue is the raise in sales taxes. Maryland is not exactly a large state, I've been there many times. It's not exactly difficult to buy things from Delaware, West Virginia, and Virginia for lower sales taxes. Sure, you would think 1% is not exactly large, but when the premise of their plan is to lower taxes on the "lower income" families, these families are the exact ones who will not have the means to consistently travel outside of the state to beat these taxes. The same goes for the aforementioned cigarettes. All they would have to do is go into Delaware in order to avoid the tax, and believe me, it will happen. Raising the corporate taxes is also a great recipe for lower employment numbers and a great way to start a recession. After all, it's not exactly going to be a difficult decision for companies to pack up shop and start in another state, or even nation. Democratic politicians constantly beat the drum of outsourcing to Third World Nations. How then does it make any logical sense to attempt to stop outsourcing, which is a response to rising costs of business....by raising the cost of business? Lowering taxes would encourage employers to hire more workers in order to produce more and generate a larger revenue stream in the state. Finally, lets look at the slot issue. With slots already legal in PA, NJ, and DE, how exactly is the state planning on raising so much money through this means? Again, a larger pool of slots will result in lower revenues at all slots. Simple supply and demand. I'm not saying they will not make any money off this endeavour, I'm simply saying that when there is a massive supply of slots in the region, they payoffs from these machines will grow larger to attract more people, and these larger payoffs will result in lower tax revenues. It also goes back the addiction theme I mentioned earlier, Gambling is often classified as an addiction. For the government to provide a larger supply of something that is considered an addiction is a predatory practice, and sure wealthy people gamble, probably more so than lower income people, but the wealthy are not the ones buying lottery tickets and taking their shots at moving into a better life with a pull of a lever, a draw of the numbers, luck of the draw, etc. It's the lower income families that do. It's who the Democrats in Maryland are taking full advantage of, P.T. Barnum style.

Another major issue being overlooked is the round-a-bout amnesty that Maryland Democrats are trying to shove down their populations' collective throat. What is it with the hard left that they will try to push amnesty through by hook or by crook? They are persistent border destroyers, I'll give them that. Yet another reason to never trust the Liberals with any bill unless 100% scrutinized. Give that article a real good read, and then ask yourself who is really benefiting the greatest from the new tax and spend proposal before the Maryland Legislature. It's not very important for the Democrats in Maryland to run a tight, efficient ship, but it is important for them to by pass the REAL Act, which aims to stifle terrorists and illegal immigrants. Again...I question their patriotism.
