Since Reid was so interested in gaining some additional seats in the Senate due to the war, if he thought one of the seats they will lose would be his own if not in 2010 during his next election, than by popular demand. You see, for as bad as he talks about President Bush (who himself is not exactly Mr. Popular right now, but because he is doing the unpopular thing of doing the correct thing), Reid is less popular in his home state, a favorable rating of 32%. Democrats are just dumb enough to think that the elections are all about Iraq. They are wrong.
Historically, Democrats only come to power when the GOP screws up their fundamental beliefs. They did so prior to the last election. They accomplished this by not sticking to our values of lower taxes, smaller government, stronger national security, and personal responsibility. They did by acting like Democrats. Had the leaders we elected stuck to their vows and did what they were supposed to do, the Dems would still be in the minority. In reality, it was probably a good thing that we lost the election, a warning shot from the electorate that if they are going to vote for us, it has to be for the reasons I pointed to above as well as keeping Federalism alive in this nation. It's amazing that a known central government loving Joe Biden can show up on stage with Sen. Brownback trumping for Iraqi Federalism when Biden himself doesn't care much for it in America, even though that is the exact system we have here that he and fellow liberals want to eliminate. God forbid states decide issues for themselves and not the almighty Federal Government.
Do you really think that Reid and his Congress have the all time worst ratings for Congressional Approval simply due to the Iraq War or because, as Reid has retardedly stated, of President Bush. Harry Reid is simply not a leader. He's an idiot. He keeps proving it time and time again. The bulk of his approval ratings are coming from people who are probably finding his attempts at leadership so comical that they are actually watching an extended version of Mad TV. He's a pathetic person who bashes President Bush and our soldiers and then stares into the TV for his MoveOn overlords like "Look at me! Look at me! I made fun of the president, where's my check?"
Sadly they will never learn, and shamefully, unpatriotic, and illegally they have a new and dangerous plot to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. While the news on the war is constantly getting better, from Basra, to the news that casualties are dropping dramatically, Reid and Nancy "Blinky" Pelosi have resorted to attacking an ally since World War II in order to backdoor defeat and put our soldiers in grave danger. The resolution on Turkey is a political stunt designed to weaken supply lines into Iraq, which will compound with the Turks taking military action in Iraq against Kurdish rebels, erasing all gains that have been made since the war started. This will completely destabilize the region, as Iran has been shelling the Kurds as well. What's even worse than escalating the war in the region in order to get votes domestically is their out and out audacity to call out the current Turkish government for the actions of the Ottoman Empire. Once again, I QUESTION THEIR PATRIOTISM AND THEIR COMPASSION FOR HUMAN SUFFERING. No resolutions on Burma, no support for peace keeping troops or military action in Darfur, they kept their mouths pretty much shut when the Rwanda genocide was occurring, they refuse to do what is right for the purpose of being right. It's all about the votes with these assholes.
For all the talk about Bush alienating us from allies and being divisive, it seems to me that Western Europe is a stronger ally now (see France, Germany, Denmark, etc) than was before. Australia has never been closer to us. Yet it's the left who is turning away allies in the war on terror and states that could have positive impacts in the region from Saudi Arabi, Dubai, and now Turkey. Sure they all have their problems it's not like they are as strong an ally as Western Europe, the Czech Republic, Poland, or Canada, but they are key allies in the region. This resolution will only result in Bin Laden or one of his demon minions popping up and saying, "see, they are critical and hate all Muslims" which will recruit more terrorists, while drying up supplies for our troops, and increasing violence in Iraq. Just so the wildly unpopular Congress can destroy the freedoms we brought to the people of the region, kill Iraqis at a rate never before seen, possibly escalate the situation to World War III, in order to run to Code Pink and Move On and say, "there we did it, where's our check." Iraq is not the reason they won the last election, but Iraq may be the reason they will have to live on knowing their actions will result in another genocide if their Moonbat overlords have their way. A thousand Iraqi lives mean nothing to them if they can generate one more vote. They are horrible human beings and they are traitorous.

Hillary Clinton: We will Own Every Aspect of Your Life
Of course she wants universal health care. What else can you expect from a socialist hack. Everything this woman stands for is personal power grabs and the establishment of all powerful federal government that will run every aspect of your life. How can they even claim to be even mildly supportive of capitalism? She is simply going for the sound bite for votes, and rest assured her liberal media buddies will not put the clamps to her. $110 billion a year, a conservative figure, is insane. Even worse yet, its mandated care. Forget choices and personal responsibility, the government will force you to get health care and routine check ups. Why not cap limits on lawsuits for example, the leading cause of rising health care costs in this nation. While you are at it, take a look to see how many innovative drugs are developed in other nations as opposed to this one. Eliminate the period of time granted to companies who fund R&D into innovative medicines and all incentive is pretty much gone to develop revolutionary new cures. The Weekly Standard does a very nice job, as usual, of getting a great point across in an articulate and concise means on this issue. Let's also keep in the mind the ginormousness of the costs associated with this asinine program. $110 billion does not pop out of thin air, the foot for this bill will come directly from the average citizens. Sure, Hillary can claim she wants to tax the rich, but let's be pragmatic in this discussion. The very rich will always have tax loop holes in which they can escape paying taxes. Should some type of restriction be placed on corporations in order to close a loop hole, rest assured, you will see inflation on a massive march. You can already see inflation increasing since the minimum wage hike took effect. The cost to the average citizen will be enormous.
Worse yet, the Hillary camp is keeping quiet on whether or not illegal aliens will be given the health benefits, which, given Liberal track records is an assurance that they will. Now couple this with the fact that the Libs want to give amnesty to 12 million plus illegals and basically want to take no steps to enforce border security and now you have a swelling population of illegals who will derive health benefits and not have to worry about paying into the system. Now ask yourself, if border security and illegal immigration is a huge issue now, what will happen when we have an unsecured border and the promise of free health care to those who illegally enter our borders? National security indeed. This is a recipe for disaster, not just from a health care stance, but from a security stance.
The Liberals have no intention of honoring the free market, the basis on which this nation was founded. Have they even heard of Adam Smith? What gives them the right to take away from the ordinary citizen the ability to make decisions on which coverage option is best for them. Uninsured people are pretty much screwed, I will grant them that. But what is the better option, a bureaucratic nightmare that will make current premiums seem like spare change, or a free market option with the promise of tax credit with the purchase of health care, much like the one on the Republican side of the debate. This option puts the responsibility on the individual and enables them to make choices while easing the burden of cost. It also keeps this very important aspect of your life, out of the governments hands. Ever dealt with the DMV? You want your health care ran that way?
I also consider you to look at the source who is offering this ridiculous proposal. Hillary is a power monger along the same political lines of the former Soviet Union. The great majority of positions she holds would earn her a Golden Bear award from the former republic. She slams our armed forces, calling them liars, while getting her pockets fed from criminals like Norman Hsu. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. I'm sure many more corruption charges against her cronies are coming. Let's not forget Vince Foster, which is still mysterious. Of course Whitewater is nice little example of her business practices as well. Perhaps she can get further advice from Madeline Albright, her half wit adviser on foreign affairs...say how does she feel about Kim Jong Il again? If you trust these people with your health care, then you are really beyond reach. What our founders had in mind was a free market economy with a central government that would defend our interests and expressly left the rest of governing the state and local governments. What Marx gave us was the idea of a supremely strong central government with the citizens and all local governments at its mercy, the same model that Liberals are pushing hard for. Communists also crushed all dissent. Well, yes, you see that too from the Liberals as well. This is evidence from pushing for the Fairness Doctrine all the way down to their own liberal attack dog groups going after Brian Baird, Liberal, who had the audacity to support our troops. There are many other examples, many, many, examples. But then, this is the way the Soviets ran their shop as well.

Again the Media Paints the Right as Anti-Gay
It's not that we are anti-Gay. The prefix of anti assumes a disposition that we on the right are essentially advocates of eradicating the gay population. This is totally wrong. We simply do not approve of the gay population based upon our moral beliefs, the same religious beliefs of which the Left claims they are respectful. However, we do tolerate the gay population. We advocate Civil Rights for Gays except in two cases, marriage and adoption. The main reason for marriage is the encroachment upon religious ceremonies. Had states properly separated themselves from religious aspects of marriage, this would not be an issue. Only a Church can marry. A state can "bond". I have no problem with a states decision to "bond" gays in a ceremony. I have a problem with at state "marrying" gays in a ceremony. Marriage is a sacrament of the Catholic faith. The state has no faith by definition. In regards to adoption, I feel that this is a benefit afforded a man and woman who are unable to produce a child who have shown their ability to raise a child correctly. This is natural procreation. Natural of course being the key term. Naturally any species that produces offspring only occurs between a male and female. There is no argument there. This is the normal and natural situation a child is born into. That being said, this is a situation for states to decide. This is not an issue to be overlorded by the Federal Government. This is something each state should decide for themselves. However, the MSM will not provide this choice to the masses. Their objective, along with the Liberals who have seized power, wrongfully, from a public who believed in the rhetoric of a Blue Dog Congress, have lied to America. The agenda on their plate is to concentrate Federal authority and destroy state authority provided in the Constitution. The Slate is a Leftist publication who will attack Republicans at all cost. That being said, we have all called upon Sen. Craig to resign based upon his actions being unbecoming of a Senator. All Gays are not trolling around our airports invading privacy and sexually harassing people in violation of the law. Sen. Craig was. That is why we call on him to resign. He broke the law, it's End Game for him. However, the MSM, especially uber-liberal SLATE, will do all they can to try and portray us as cavemen, evil, etc, instead of showing our personal opposition to a stance while saying we want the individuals of each state to carry out the Constitutional duty and respond for themselves how the issue should be handled. They are insanely biased from headlines, to rhetoric, Sen. Craig is even a worse villain for Supporting former Gov. Bill Clinton's positions on Gays in military while himself being homosexual.
